Copper beach
The copper beach around the pool is straining at it's netting. Anthony S reckons we can remove it in September this year and start training it to bush out.
Cap for the grease trap
Nice subject - Anthony B has put a new concrete cap on the grease trap for the small house. (very exciting....)
Willow hedge
Whilst we were out watering the willow hedge, we popped into next doors garden to have a look around their building site. I got caught as the owner pulled up in his car..... He's a nice chap though so we ended up talking about fruit trees and this hedge!
Vegetable patch (to be)
This is the area that we have pencilled in for the vegetable garden. Anthony S has sent us some green manure seeds which will add to the goodness of the soil (I have a lot to learn). We'll be planting these in September after rotorvating this area. We will be building raised beds for the veg and I have just emailed Jamie Oliver to see who built his wood burning outdoor oven.. I WANT ONE!
Living willow hedge
It's still alive, bit looking a little thirsty. most of the willow down in this area of France is looking like this.. Anthony B is watering it every week..
Moroccan table is alive
The table is up. It took Kevin and I a good half an hour to get the top from out of the farmhouse to the patio - it is made of concrete and weighs a tonne (nearly)
Kitchen garden
Anthony B has barked the kitchen garden area to suppress the weeds. Everything is really starting to take hold now.
More lavender - kitchen garden
The lavender in the kitchen garden is looking good (although no water leak here so not as good as in front of the farmhouse)
Flower pot
Anthony B has hidden the pipework for the water feature using a planter.. He's even planted flowers in it. No one has crashed into it yet!
Gates
The gates have been tidied up - they used to have all of the trunking showing where we could add the automatic bits. We have had all of that tidied up
